Clarion Hotel Amaranten

Sixties style

The iconic Amaranten was built at the end of the Sixties and is now part of the Clarion chain. The interiors were given a makeover in 2016 when the Tengbom architect firm was commissioned to give the hotel a modern facelift that flirts with the original Sixties glamour. There's also a brasserie and bar.

Courtyard by Marriott Stockholm

Spectacular views

The Courtyard by Marriott has several hundred hotel rooms with large windows looking out over Rålambshovsparken and Lake Mälaren. The decor is ultra-modern and there's a fitness centre open 24 hours a day. You can stroll into the city along the waterfront or, if you'd rather stay put, the restaurant Björk Bar och Grill is on site.

First Hotel Fridhemsplan

Great transport links

First Hotel is handily located right on Fridhemsplan within walking distance of Norr Mälarstrand and Stockholm central railway station. Fridhemsplan also has excellent public transport links by bus and underground.

Hotell M/S Monika

Sleep on the water

If you want to experience the Venice of the North sleeping on the water, the M/S Monika ship moored alongside Kungholms strand could be just the place. Sleep in charming cabins with nautical decor on a ship that's more than 100 years old. Breakfast is included in the room rate and during the summer you can soak up the sun on the deck and in winter get cosy in the lounge.
