Café Ektorpet

Round off a visit to Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde with a coffee in Café Ektorpet's lush gardens. Café Ektorpet is right next to the art museum and serves waffles, lunch dishes, sandwiches and pastries in a historical setting.

Beautifully located in Waldemarsudde Park, Café Ektorpet has a large outdoor terrace overlooking the water. Sit down amongst the greenery and have lunch, a coffee or a glass of wine. The café opened in 1949 in the old 18th century fisherman's cottage and began serving coffee, pastries and waffles in the park. Since then, waffles have been a permanent feature on the menu, and to this day they're still served in the classic way with jam and cream.

The outdoor terrace has over 300 seats and is one of Stockholm's largest, and there's also a boules court. In the park, you're surrounded by greenery next to the water, including a herb garden with spices and herbs used in their cooking, as well as apples and rhubarb that are used to make pies. If you're craving a beer, Café Ektorpet also has its own beer brewed at Roslags Bryggeri.

During the winter months, you can sit indoors or by the infrared heater on the outdoor terrace.
