This beautifully preserved 17th century building houses a café and restaurant in idyllic surroundings, right next to Lake Långsjön. The wooden house, which has the highest level of historic classification, transports you back a couple of hundred years, with many of the original details preserved. Herrängens Gård has something to offer everyone, whether you want to drop by for a coffee, organise the party of a lifetime, a wedding, christening or a business meeting.
In 2018/2019, the new owners took the helm with the aim of developing the venue into a place to hang out for all kinds of occasions. With room for up to 85 guests, there's space for all of life's big moments, whether it's a wedding, naming ceremony or a stupendous birthday party. The premises are intimate and atmospherically framed by beautiful nature and the waters of Långsjön. Take a dip, or why not hold your wedding on the jetty?
On Wednesdays to Sundays, the café's open and the menu includes hearty sandwiches and a daily lunch special to enjoy in historic surroundings. If you have a sweet tooth, there's a wide range of yummy pastries to indulge in. Dogs are also warmly welcome and even have their own menu of treats.

We got there for lunch and were there relatively early, basically at the opening and then we could freely choose a table. It quickly filled up with people and may have been harder to get a table if we arrived an hour later.
The food was as expected, not 5/5 but delicious! We enjoyed and felt good in the sun with a glass of bubbly and coffee on the food (always appreciated). Coffee, water and tea were readily available on a cart outside the house so that no one had to crowd inside the house.
In the toilet there was both hairspray, dry shampoo, tampons and toothpicks, a fun detail I think!
Overall, a cozy experience with friendly staff ☀️
