How nice café! I have previously reviewed Il Caffé Drottninggatan (4) where I mention that the only thing that is lacking is the interior and the environment that is very boring. But not here! The coffee is just as good and so is the bread and pastries that come from St Paul's bakery, but the décor is much nicer. In addition, they have one of the city's finest outdoor dining areas - a lush and quiet courtyard.
We were here on a warm and sunny morning and kind of ate a brunch/coffee at their outdoor service in the courtyard. We first grilled sandwiches with mozzarella, tomato and basil that were good. As a coffee we had a crazy good almond bun and the perfect carrot cake. Lots of spices and the texture was perfect in my opinion - compact texture and almost a little sticky in the middle and LOTS of frosting. I'm talking like 50/50 frosting/cake (easy exaggeration but you get it). and of course the best cappuccino in town!
But again, best of all is the outdoor dining area. In a quiet courtyard among lush trees and nice turn-of-the-century houses. This is a must to visit on a summer day!
