Abreu Foods is a Swedish/Argentinian family business which uses Argentinian recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. You can find their products at various retailers, and now you can also visit their food truck in the Slakthusområdet former meatpacking district, where they serve hot dogs, burgers and more.
When the Abreu family moved to Sweden from Argentina in 1979 they brought numerous family recipes with them. It wasn't until 2020 that they founded Abreu Foods, when Daniel Abreu was given his grandfather Don Ylso's chorizo recipe by his uncle Victor Hugo. That sparked Daniel's interest in Argentinian food which, together with his family, he now plans on taking to the next level with Abreu Foodtruck.
At the moment the food truck is in Slakthusområdet, Stockholm's former meatpacking district, where they combine Argentinian culinary tradition with Swedish meat. The menu includes burgers and hot dogs, including the Stockholm chorizo made from chicken, and their traditional Argentinian chorizo, named Don Ylso after Daniel's grandfather. Don't miss their specialty cheese sausage, made with ¼ cheese. Whatever you choose from the menu, your food will be made from high quality Swedish ingredients, and they avoid preservatives and additives as far as possible.
Production takes place just a stone's throw from the food truck, which is parked on Styckmästargatan in Slakthusområdet. Everything is made from scratch from top quality ingredients, and transformed into Argentinian delicacies to be enjoyed straight from the hatch.
