Few places ooze summer vibes quite like the Riviera, but you don't need to leave central Stockholm to experience a taste of the Mediterranean. In summer 2023 Strandbryggan transforms into a modern beach club with views over Strandvägen and Djurgården.
Strandbryggan has existed in various forms since 1989, from beer café to classic archipelago restaurant. In summer 2023 the popular spot was relaunched as a modern restaurant with strong Mediterranean influences. Take a seat and hang out in the summery lounge, enjoy a cocktail in the bar or order something to eat in the restaurant. Don't miss heading upstairs to enjoy a drink with views over Stockholm's waterways. The stunning views are accompanied by tunes spun by DJs, in true beach-club style.
The Mediterranean theme runs through both the decor and the menu, which includes snacks and larger dishes, ideal for pairing with drinks. The wine list is also based in the Mediterranean countries, with a few challengers from other parts of the world. If you prefer to round off your meal with a digestif you won't be disappointed - the drinks list includes everything from rum and whisky to grappa and cognac.
With opening hours from morning to midnight, Strandbryggan is a destination for brunch and lunch as well as dinner and drinks. The aim is to create a waterside oasis where Stockholmers and visitors alike can dream themselves away to the Riviera.

How incredibly nice it has become after the renovation. Really! Modern yet classic Beach Club feel and even though it is not a new addition to Stockholm's restaurant world in that sense (because it has been around for a long time), it feels in many ways as if it is just new.
Beautiful décor and incredibly comfortable place to eat. You sit outside and they can pull over some roofs to protect against rain or strong sun.
The food was delicious! Kept a high level straight again. We ordered a selection of dishes that we shared and everything was super good. Quite okay price on a decent rosé wine as well.
I had a lemon sorbet for dessert. It was good. But they could have spent a little more time on the sorb and a little less time carving out a lemon, freezing it and then serving the ice cream in it. A bit too pretentious after a meal that felt much more lovely and relaxed.
When we had finished eating, we sat down at one of the drink tables down by the water and had a couple of drinks while listening to Stockholm and the clucking from the water. There was also an upstairs where you can have a glass that had a nice view of the city.
Will definitely go back, hope I have time before it gets too cold!

Trevligt ställe/läge men inte särskilt bra mat och dyrt. Ett glas rosé kostade 165 kr i baren vi var efter maten. Åt vegetarisk pasta o den hade jag gjort bättre själv. Läget är fantastiskt o enda anledningen till att återkomma.
