Me and my brother had dinner at Basta on Tuesday. The restaurant was pretty much full which is always nice. The room is nice with an open kitchen. Nice porcelain!! I think the service was a bit so so, not great. The staff was absolutely not rude but felt like no one really had control of the situation.
We started by sharing a tuna tartare and a carpaccio. We both thought carpaccio was the best! Then we shared a truffle pasta and a seafood pasta. The pasta was very good, a bit al dente which I love! The truffle taste was good and clear. The seafood pasta was also good but tasted mostly tomato sauce unfortunately. We finished the dinner with a Black Mamba and a Lemon Sundae. Black Mamba was too sweet for my taste but if you take a pastry with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce you have only yourself to blame, haha. But Sundae was really good and fresh!
I rate it 3/5. I can definitely see myself going back this summer and having a drink on the roof terrace or a pasta!!
