This weekend my boyfriend surprised me with a date-night here. He knows how much I appreciate a little everyday luxury and that I've wanted to go here for a long time, so I was really so happy. You were greeted in the doors by such a cozy noise of buzz from guests, smelled fantastically good, nice décor and such a perfect "dark but not too dark" lighting.

We were four people who came in spontaneously on a Friday at 9 and wanted to eat something small at the bar. I think we start with the positives:
1. We got a table right away and a woman I'm guessing was the head waiter took our drink order quickly and our drink arrived shortly thereafter.
2. The drinks were magical. We drank dry martinis and a spicy margarita which was probably the tastiest I've ever drunk

Åt för första gången på Astoria häromdagen, bara varit här för vin ett år gånger tidigare. Tror att jag blivit serverad av samma person samtliga gånger - väldigt generösa mängder vin. Känns lite otippat på ett lyxigare ställe. Servicen är generellt väldigt bra på Astoria tycker jag! Även härligt med skylten som lyser upp. Menyn är ganska omfattande och varierande. Allt från pizza, pasta till franska klassiker så som moules och råbiff. Priserna är även den varierande, vissa rätter ligger omkring 200 medan andra är betydligt högre.

Jag åt tryffelpizzan, som var extremt god! Serverades med fontinaost, fetaost, vitlöksolja, gräslök, sallad och givetvis tryffel. Till och med kanterna, som jag normalt inte är så förtjust i, var extremt goda. Även gott med lite sallad på pizzan så det blev krispigt!

Jag tycker Astoria ligger på en stabil 4, det finns inte något att direkt klaga på men det krävs lite mer wow för en 5:a. Kommer tillbaka för en brunch inom kort då får vi se om det blir ett högre betyg!
