De flesta restauranger omkring Kungsträdgården är kanske inte de roligaste. Då syftar jag framförallt på de som ligger mitt i trädgården. Men wow, den här pärlan har jag totalt missat! Makalös ligger på en hemskt mysig liten kullerstensgata precis vid Kungsträdgården. När du stiger in möter du en mysigt lite gammeldags inredd restaurang som känns väldigt fransk. Här finns även ett hotell. Det är en lyxig och lite antik känsla, en mix jag älskar. Restaurangen är döpt efter ett palats som hette Makalös som låg en bit bort lite närmre slottet. Palatset brann ned 1825.

Det jag tycker är härligt med restaurangen är personalen! Vi fick en fransk kypare, typisk fransk. Inte överdrivet trevlig men charmig och servicen är alltså inte dålig, den var bra. Pratade länge om naturvin med en av de andra kyparna, som dock var svensk. Kul!

Till maten: till förrätt åt jag gratinerade sniglar. Jättegott, men en liten miss från min sida då jag trodde de serverades på traditionellt sätt (åtminstone som jag ätit dem i Frankrike), men dessa var alltså gratinerade och hade ett lager över sig. Hade nog helst skippat det, men det var mitt eget fel. Det var oavsett väldigt gott!

Till huvudrätt åt jag röding och WOW! Denna rätt var fantastiskt god! Den serverades med forellrom och fänkål. Smakerna gifte sig helt perfekt. Gräddigt men ändå inte mastigt, utan perfekt. Till det dillpotatis som också var perfekt, lagom kokt nästan lite hård vilket jag gillar. Många restauranger tenderar att överkoka potatis. Drack till det en otrolig pinot blanc. Och en riesling som var grym den med, likaså det mousserande vinet till förrätten. Väldigt bra viner på glas! Sällan alla glas man beställer in håller lika hög nivå tycker jag. Så var det här.

Restaurangen var ganska tom, jag var där på en onsdag vilket ändå brukar vara en populär dag att gå ut att äta. Verkar som att fler än jag missat denna pärla? Jag kommer iaf definitivt tillbaka! Och jag rekommenderar alla att gå hit. Åtminstone alla som gillar fransk mat. Mysigt ställe, bra kvalitet på maten och trevlig personal. Exakt som man vill att en fransk restaurang ska vara.

Middag på Brasseri Makalös. Goda men halvljumma musslor och pommes. Förmodligen snabbt påvärmda och sedan överhällda till kall musselgryta. Hade förväntat mig mer av en fransk restaurang.
