Cownteen

A stone's throw from Södra station and Rosenlundsparken you'll find Cownteen, a smokehouse serving cuisine influenced by the southern states of the US and a wide range of beers perfect for washing down your burger or ribs with.

The emphasis at Cownteen is on smoked meat served with various Swedish accompaniments, as well as vegetarian alternatives for those who prefer to eat green. Choose between brisket hamburger, a veggie jack-fruit variation, or ribs with sides such as pickled red onion, jalapeño, gherkins and corn-on-the-cob. The interiors complement the food with their industrial style, white tiles, cactuses and the odd cow hide on the floor.

The bar serves a wide range of beers and alcohol-free options, as well as wine and cider. They have plenty of craft beers including a few you've probably never tried before. On Fridays they have post-work happy hour promotions with special prices for beer, cider and wine and a range of burgers. Naturally, they also stock several kinds of bourbon if you're in the mood to start or round off the evening with something stronger.

On Monday to Friday they also serve a daily lunch special.
