German Döner Kebab
You'll find the kebab chain German Döner Kebab, also known as GDK, in Skärholmen Centrum. German Döner Kebab was founded in Berlin in 1989 and there are now branches all over the world, making it one of the largest kebab chains ever. They serve traditional kebabs that are a little healthier than many other alternatives.
With more than 1200 restaurants around the world, this famous kebab concept is Europe's largest kebab chain. The first German Döner Kebab restaurant in the Stockholm area opened in Skärholmen Centrum in summer 2022 with its entrance onto Skärholmstorget. They serve authentic kebabs with around half as many calories as you can usually expect to find in this fastfood favourite dish. In other words, a healthier kebab, almost completely without preservatives or additives.
Their kebabs are made with selected ingredients and include German Döner Kebab's secret sauces, meat imported from Germany, fresh vegetables and specially-baked bread. In addition to the restaurant's original kebab, they also serve variations such as durum wraps, vegetarian kebabs, döner with fries, döner burgers, döner panini, döner nachos and döner quesadilla. Food is ordered at the till and collected for takeaway or to eat in the spacious dining room. When the weather allows there's also an outdoor dining area on the square.
