Sushi – but Stockholm style. At Gigis, they want to celebrate the capital and its diversity by serving the Japanese dish in a new, Stockholm-influenced way.

In a cosy little spot on Odengatan, Gigis is a sushi bar with a concept that stands out from the crowd. The techniques may be traditionally Japanese, but inspiration for the menu comes primarily from Stockholm and the city's culinary diversity, which includes everything from fine restaurants and bistros to small street food stalls at the furthest reaches of the underground. You'll find maki, nigiri, sashimi and other small dishes with innovative flavours and ingredients from different parts of the world. Some dishes change according to the changes of the seasons, while some signature dishes remain the same. If you want to avoid the anxiety of choosing for yourself, go for the tasting menu with the kitchen's selected favourites.

The drinks selection is hand-picked by Gigis' sommelier and consists of wine from all over the world, cocktails and plenty of beer. Sake is also on offer for anyone who wants to add a bit of Japanese tradition to their meal.

The venue is small and intimate with stylish interiors and generous ceiling height. All guests can look into the open kitchen, which also contributes to the restaurant's relaxed atmosphere. If you want to watch the chefs at work from the front row, there are a couple of seats at the kitchen bar.
