Found Hop & Wine on a list for After Work here at Thatsup and it was close to the office - perfect, I thought, and booked for 12 people.
Overall, I think it was a nice evening with various board games, food and drinks. Good selection of beer and wine, cheap dishes (not so affordable perhaps, see below) and friendly staff.
The negative thing was that you had to order at the front of the bar and that the portions were too small, everyone was still a little hungry after we had eaten.
The food also came one by one. Since they knew we were coming, this could have been synced a little better before, I think, either with us booking food in advance or that there was a group menu that made it smoother.
Then they had some bad luck in the kitchen during the evening with something being burned and there was a lot (!) of smoke and smell out in the room. They solved that by putting the doors open, then of course it got very cold. But it also meant that we couldn't order more food when we were still hungry.
Anyway, we stayed until closing time and played board games - nice absolutely! But there is a lot that could be improved to make the whole better.
Will probably come back in a smaller group for an AW or similar. I like the idea of sitting in a restaurant and playing board games together.
