Actors Mahmut Suvakci and Joel Kinnaman, famous for their roles in the Snabba Cash films, are the guys behind the Lily's Burger hamburger concept. They serve ambitious fast food in Sixties American diner-style surroundings.

Ever since it opened, Lily's Burger has been drawing hardcore hamburger fans to Hornsbergs strand on Kungsholmen. American classics made from selected ingredients are the order of the day here - you'll find several hamburgers on the menu, alongside various sides, sauces and snacks. The burgers are made from Swedish meat, but there are also vegetarian and vegan alternatives if you prefer plant-based food. In authentic American style they also serve milkshakes in classic flavours (with or without alcohol) and desserts. The restaurant has KRAV organic certification and they make all their food as sustainably as possible.

The decor is classically American, with a nostalgic Sixties diner feel. Mint green, red, black and white banquettes and chairs and Sixties formica tables are surrounded by vintage road signs, gas pumps, stickers and other Americana. During the summer months the restaurant has a colourful outdoor dining area close to the waterfront, but you can also order takeaway and eat your burger on the jetty.

Ate here the first really hot summer day in May, I was finished with the studies for the semester and we brought everything down to the grass where we lay and sunbathed, and to add bathed. We went there lunch-time and to our happiness they had an offer where you had the opportunity to pick up your own burger, meaty as vegetarian and gluten free if necessary. My two friends chose their meat and I took halloumi as a base for their own soft and tasty hamburger bread. They had nothing "extra" on the picking table but the most classic such as tomato, yellow onion, pickle, coleslaw, pickles, pickled red onion, guacamole, bbq sauce, mayo, mustard and ketchup. But with good, brittle and fresh ingredients, it is not needed much more and in mine most of it ended up next to a hearty portion of pinfresh fries. Dreamgood really and I LOVE the concept á 130kr including drink. Also want to strike a blow for their PERFECTLY fried halloumi, which is a bit a key player you might think. Like the other two restaurants in Stockholm, the service was very pleasant here, however, would have been even better if Kinnaman had ever had the way past ...

Now we did not sit in the restaurant and ate but in addition to the lunch concept, I really take their holistic approach to everything from their interior design, music, clothes and small details that give them a clear ID. They go all-in at the American 30/40/50's Diner with jukebox, checkerboard tiles, high neon-colored bar stools and retro-style signs with prints from the coca-cola logo and stickers scattered in all its shapes in the room. That's what I really get started on, all or nothing!
