If you thought you had to master the Italian language in order to cook the cuisine, it's time to think again - at least if you ask the gang at Non Parlo Italiano, whose name means "I don't speak Italian". Instead, they've adopted the Italian philosophy that each dish is a work of art that must be prepared with plenty of love and good ingredients.
Non Parlo Italiano is housed in homely premises in Vasastan, overlooking the intersection of Odengatan and Döbelnsgatan. You're invited to enjoy an authentic Italian dining experience framed by leafy plants, marble tables and candles placed in old wine bottles.
The menu consists of a selection of snacks and small dishes, the occasional larger dish and pasta. The latter is something of a main character on the menu, carefully crafted by hand and served in several different versions, either vegetarian or with meat or fish. Dolci are also found on the menu for those who want to round off the meal with something sweet.
Both day and night, there is a warm and inviting atmosphere inside the restaurant. The idea is that you should be able to drop in for a glass of wine or a relaxed pasta lunch, as well as – in true Italian fashion – spending the entire evening together with friends and family over a table filled with home-cooked food.

It was a weekday evening for dinner, looked so cozy from the outside with lots of lit candles and a lovely venue (in an old Espresso House, I believe).
I had grilled langoustines and garlic bread as a starter, and a Cacio e Pepe e Tartufo as the main course. Everything was SO delicious and well-made. The pasta was one of the better ones I have tried in Stockholm, I’m willing to say!
I find it amusing when something happens that the staff isn’t prepared for, to see how they handle it. On this particular evening, the power went out and everything came to a standstill, but it was handled wonderfully and new guests were welcomed with the information that the power was currently out, but that it would surely be resolved, so have a beer for now and take a seat! It worked out, and the food continued to come out from the kitchen. Great job!
Incredibly lovely atmosphere! I would gladly come back and try more of the menu!
