Downstairs in an odd room you will find this spartan decorated restaurant, at first you are greeted by a large counter with lots of different types of cider. This is apparently the hallmark of the restaurant. Had they not been because I read the Thats up reviews before, I would not have understood that cider was the thing here by just going here.

The tables with odd placement feel intimate and fun you really use every nook and cranny of the room, we were seated at a table for two at the back of the room, I quickly checked out a bar like part in an old shop window. Where you could sit and look out. Immediately asked if we could change seats but not it was apparently fully booked. The bar area had room for four so thought it might be booked for four but after about 45 minutes they fell in a couple who had to sit there and the other two seats were "free" our whole dinner. It chafes a little in the eye.

The menu is small about 10 small / medium dishes, then a dessert. We (2p) ordered 5-6 dishes and on this was quite okay measured. I really missed a drinks menu, this to be able to read what different types of cider there were and other drinks. However, I said just as it was that I do not know anything about cider but would like to try, got to try a couple of different but hard to say. May think it gets a bit crazy when the dumplings are so oily that you are recommended by the staff to divide them and pour in the sauce and not dip. However, worth the trouble.
