Sjöcaféet by Djurgården is one of the city's largest open-air restaurants. Here guests can drink coffee and eat as well as rent a bike or kayak, you can even find a visitors' centre with tourist information for Djurgården. The modern facility is open all year round and is cosily furnished with a log fireplace for cold winter days.

In the mood to explore Djurgården or just have a moment's relaxation in the sun overlooking Strandvägen - then you've come to the right place. Just next to the Djurgårds Bridge, Sjöcaféet has an expansive outdoor terrace and equipment rental for island excursions. Stop by the adjacent visitors' centre to plan a full day of activities. You can rent a bike, kayak, canoe or a paddleboat to get around during the summer. The rental is open from April to September.

The restaurant serves everything from lunch and coffee to early dinner and after work drinks. It serves daily specials, traditional Swedish Husmanskost and pizza (that can be ordered for home delivery). The lunch menu features hearty meat and fish dishes such as meat loaf and fish filet with saffron sauce as well as healthy dishes such as smoked salmon with quinoa salad. In addition to the restaurant and bar, Sjöcaféet also features a café and kiosk where you can buy coffee, pastries, hot dogs and burgers, and ice cream along with the evening paper. During colder months settle down in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate.

The cocktail bar
During the summer Sjöcaféet's outdoor bar, Favelan offers a mix of food, drinks and live music by guest artists, singers and jazz bands. The bar was built from recycled materials and offers drinks, pizza and cold cuts.
