Sunday dinner at Solen!
Perfect place when you are a larger group; We were eight people who got a big round table a little separated from the rest of the dining room, which was really nice. We still had a view down to the restaurant, while it became a little more intimate.
We shared some small and tasty things + two of the pizzas that they fixed vegetarian. I thought the hummus with flaked almonds, coconut and pita was the best, but everything was great. Also tasted two of the desserts: I'm usually not a dessert person, but the Basque crème caramel with herbs was great! The rhubarb pie was also good. The company also ate meat that I didn't try because of vegetarian, but they were really happy, and everyone agreed that the fries that were flavored with smoked/grilled butter (🤤) were the best we've eaten. Good wine list too, not a lot by the glass but enough and good variety! Next time there will be a cocktail as well.
The venue itself is fantastic, so nicely designed and you love that it is located in Slaktis, the outdoor seating is also awesome. The staff nice, relaxed, came by just enough often to ask if we wanted anything more.
In short: optimal if you are many people who want to taste a little bit of everything, but can just as well go for starters, main courses and desserts. Good vegetarian selection, all sides are vegetarian + that all pizzas can be made vego. Also vegetarian options for both starters and main courses.
Thank you Sun! ☀️
