On Bondegatan by Nytorget in Södermalm you will find the cosy Italian neighbourhood restaurant Tavino. Italian food, wine and community are the focus here, whether you're here for a dinner, weekend lunch or post-work drinks with friends and colleagues.
Tavino is housed in charming premises with a pleasant and authentic atmosphere. The ceilings are high here in both the figurative and literal sense – so high that there's room for shelves with wine bottles and a duplex area where you can sit a little more secluded, with a view over the restaurant. Paintings, lush plants and a mix of colours and materials create a cosy feeling.
The menu revolves around food that the chefs themselves love, served in a relaxed and generous way. The concept is fundamentally Italian, but instead of following rules and frameworks, flavours and creativity are allowed to guide the cooking. The à la carte menu includes smaller antipasti and sharing dishes, pasta, pizza, main courses and, of course, dolci.
