Good drinks, good food, nice atmosphere and different from everything else in Stockholm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food is more expensive than other Thai dishes, but took the paneng curry and it was very well done, well balanced in taste and fresh vegetables. Most of the visits have been during the summer, when you can sit out and enjoy the spectacular view and all the fun details that are actually here. It was okay good, but I think that the portion was a bit too small and I was not nearly as measured as I usually become when I order the same right in a thaikiosk out on the town. This right also cost double, as you will of course pay for the experience and service. I got very few tofubitar, which disappointed me. You become like not very measured on noodles and grilled vegetables.

Overall, a visit to Thaiboat is an experience. It feels a bit like having moved to Thailand and weighing together all the benefits, the grade is still a four. I recommend, however, to go here on a warm summer evening, when it lifts the whole experience. Then you have to understand that you are actually sitting on a boat. It sways to a bit from time to time, so I would not recommend a seasick person to sit down and dine here if you are sensitive to it. As a country crab, it is then better to aim at a table on the outside terrace.

God mat men riktigt dålig service.
Vi hade bokat en igloo kl 19.30 till vårt sällskap på 6 personer. Kl 20.10 fick vi komma in i vår igloo. Förrätten dröjde och när varmrätten väl kom var det 1 timme och 15 minuter efter tiden vi bokat för middag. Förrätten var en sharing style med ”tacos” man skulle bygga själv med gröna blad som bas. Tråkigt att inte ha några servetter när man ska äta med händerna (bestick fick vi inte heller förrän vi bad om det). Fördrinkarna kom 40 minuter efter vår bokade tid och en av dem fanns inte med, utan förklaring. När vi frågade efter den ”var den slut och det var därför det tog så lång tid”. Eftersom flera i sällskapet har väldigt svårt för koriander bad de att få maten utan koriander, vilket servitören sa gick bra om vi alla kunde ta mat utan koriander. Vi tackade ja till detta men fick ändå in rätterna fullproppade med koriander. Som kompensation för 40 min väntan på det bokade bordet erbjöds vi gratis kaffe. Tre personer beställde vanligt kaffe, en beställde en kaffedrink och två tackade nej, varpå servitören förklarade att de bara bjuder på vanligt kaffe och inte kaffedrink. Ok, jag betalar för den, sa vederbörande. Därefter fick vi in tre vanliga kaffe men ingen kaffedrink, samt fick betala notan. Fortfarande ingen kaffedrink och när alla druckit upp och vi gick in och frågade efter den i baren var de förvånade över att vi inte fått den ännu, varpå vi bad om pengarna åter för den så att vi kunde gå hem.

På det stora hela en riktig besvikelse. Vi är på thaibåten varje sommar och hade längtat efter att testa igloon. Maten var god men servicen under all kritik. Tjejerna som jobbar är visserligen trevliga men den väntetid och nonchalans vi råkade utför är inte okej, särskilt inte för ett förbokat sällskap som betalar flera tusen för middag.

När vi påpekade den långa väntetiden förklarade servitören att de hade jättejobbiga kunder som vägrade att lämna igloon vi skulle ha fått och att de minsann hade varit er förut och varit jääättejobbiga då också och att de hade blivit blockerade från att kunna boka bord igen. Tråkigt för dem att uppleva ”jobbiga kunder” men ingenting som jag som annan gäst vill höra historier om.

Do you like authentic exciting and nice genuine Thai food, so go here. Pretty expensive but an experience. The view, location and environment is unique. Taste sensation in the mouth of the juice/sauce as they manage to get to is divine. Some portions are very large so my tip is to share between you. Favorite is the papaya salad, Steak Salad and their "Empty" soup, yum. Worth it to go here anytime but extra fun when the Sun is in front then you can dip your feet in the white sand.
