Big Ben Standup

Many people know The Big Ben on Folkungagatan as a good old-fashioned pub with a bar and restaurant. But what some don't realise is that the cellar resounds with laughter and hilarity several days a week, as that's where Big Ben Standup happens. Many regulars come here to see well-known and up-and-coming comedians alike performing.

When you enter The Big Ben, which shares an entrance with Big Ben Standup, you'll find a classic pub that serves more than 50 kinds of beers and a wide selection of whisky. Start your evening off here, or head straight downstairs to Big Ben Standup. Here, guests are treated to comedy from well-known, lesser-known and debuting comedians, every day of the week, all year round.

The stand-up club is one of Stockholm's oldest and it has made a name for itself for hosting some of Sweden's best comedians. Magnus Betnér, Johan Glans, Henrik Schyffert, Petra Mede, Björn Gustafsson, Kodjo Akolor and Al Pitcher are just a few examples of well-known comedians who have performed here, but you can also witness future comedy stars being born on the stage here.

Come by to have a laugh by yourself, with a date, family, friends or colleagues. Everyone's welcome, large and small groups alike. At weekends it's often packed, so if you want a seat it's a good idea to get here early. Big Ben Standup carries on for around two hours every evening, but if you want to stay longer you can always hang out in the bar and have a drink. At weekends The Big Ben Nightclub carries on the party with live music and DJs late into the night. Half the show is performed in English on Thursday nights.
