Kollektivet Livet Bar & Scen

Cruise ships no longer leave from the old Birka terminal - but Kollektivet Livet bar and Stadsgårdsterminalen live stage have moved in instead. This modern cultural centre gathers together a bar, stage and terrace under (and on) one roof, just a stone's throw from Slussen and with panoramic views over Stockholm.  

Stockholm's and Slussen's new cultural centre gathers together all different kinds of art and culture under the same roof with a programme that offers something for everyone, from nightclubs and DJs to concerts and exhibitions. 

The stage in the former cruise ship terminal waiting room is the heart of the centre, whatever's happening on any particular day. Stockholmers and visitors alike dance, sweat, sing, hug, laugh and cry here, as new talents and well-known names alike perform everything from pop to rock. To ensure they offer some of the city's best concerts and musical experiences they've installed a Dot audio sound system. 

Close to the stage, Kollektivet Livet Bar serves what they refer to as great beer, reasonable wine and simple food, ideal for refuelling for a whole evening of singing and dancing. The bar, like the stage, boasts spectacular views over Stockholm. If the inside feels a little spartan, the rooftop terrace is seriously impressive. As soon as the weather allows, the terrace opens up with views over the entrance to Stockholm harbour, the Old Town, Skeppsholmen and Djurgården. There's plenty of space to mingle in the summer warmth, glass in hand, or take a seat for some snacks and pizza accompanied by DJs and live bands from Sweden and the rest of the world.
