Oenophiles' oasis in Östermalm

Uva is housed at an address that became legendary in 1958, when restaurateur Bengt Wedholm opened the doors to the restaurant Östergök here. It's now managed by Douglas Fagerman and Ruben Blomdahl, who are behind the Scandinavian-designed wine bar Uva as well as its sister restaurants Aristo and Cuculo. 

With Uva, they've created an oasis in the heart of Östermalm where wine lovers can drink good wine, whether it's a quick post-work drink or a real all-nighter. The name means grape in Italian and Spanish, but the interior is inspired by Scandinavia, with light wooden furniture in a pared down style. The emphasis here is on creating the perfect atmosphere with the help of selected details and a wide range of wines by the glass and bottle, where you can go in for old favourites or explore new flavours. 

The emphasis is on Old World wines, but there are also a few American bottles. The wine list is also regularly updated with new producers and wines to discover from both Europe and the USA, and if you find it difficult to choose, you can always get tips and advice from the staff. Experienced wine connoisseurs and curious novices alike are welcome here.
