Vinfolket Drottninggatan

As the name suggests, Vinfolket is a combination of wine bar and bistro, serving selected wines from various producers. Just like its sister restaurant on Kungsholmen, this is a watering hole for wine lovers where you don't just drink wine, you can also take part in regular wine tastings. Vinfolket also has an online wine shop. 

Catarina Palo and Hans Johansson, formerly owners of L'Enoteca i Malmö, are the team behind the concept. They've realised their dream with Vinfolket, where they give their guests an experience and a taste of unusually good wines at unexpectedly reasonable prices. Their passion for, and knowledge of, the noble grape knows no bounds. Each wine is selected by winemakers they've met and built a relationship with, which means that they often buy from small-scale producers.  The menu consists of snacks and sharing plates, small dishes and main courses which pair perfectly with their wines and are ideal for socialising over. 

Take a seat round a large table, on a sofa or on the outdoor dining area - when the weather allows. If you fancy exploring the wines and discovering something new, just ask the staff who'll be happy to help.
