Essence

Exclusive tasting menu

At Essence, the whole experience revolves around the large counter dining table, from which the evening's guests can watch the chefs prepare their food in the open kitchen. A luxurious tasting menu of eight courses is served here, presented directly by the chefs themselves. The menu, which is updated as often as daily, combines classics with new flavours to create culinary creations that appeal to both the eye and the palette

Frantzén

An experience beyond your wildest dreams

This world-class fine dining restaurant used to be in the Old Town before reopening in a beautifully renovated 19th century townhouse in the heart of the city - with its own lift, terrace and three floors. Despite having an entire house at their disposal, there are still only 23 covers. If you want to treat yourself to a truly exceptional restaurant experience, this is the place to come. In 2018 the restaurant became the first in Sweden to be awarded the elusive third Michelin star.

Nana

Elegant tasting menu served at the chef's table

”Luxury” is the watchword at Nana, a small restaurant in Vasastan where they've embraced the concept of kaiseki, which means the menu is based around whichever ingredients taste best on any particular day. But whatever the time year you can count on exclusive delicacies such as truffle, caviar, lobster and wagyu beef. Dishes are served as a tasting menu at the chef's table, for nine guests per sitting, by head chef Jonas Bokedal himself.

Aira

Myllymäki's star restaurant

TV chef Tommy Myllymäki runs his fine dining restaurant on the waterfront of Djurgården. The gastronomic experience takes centre stage here, with a nine-course tasting menu and accompanying drinks package. The kitchen follows the seasons and uses Nordic ingredients, enhanced with flavours from all over the world. Aira has had a star in the Michelin guide since 2021.

If you like wine, you've come to the right place - with some 30,000 bottles, the restaurant's wine cellar is one of Sweden's largest.

Ekstedt

Touched by fire

Ekstedt pays homage to ancient culinary traditions to create a rustic, yet innovative fine dining experience. Celebrity chef Niklas Ekstedt combines seasonal Swedish flavours, employing ageless techniques; food is prepared over a crackling fire in the open kitchen, using seasonal ingredients. Enjoy juniper-baked, charcoal-grilled and smoked dishes and much more. Served in Nordic surroundings on Stureplan.

The menu consists of five courses with guests choosing between two options at each serving, all prepared with French techniques using the finest seasonal ingredients. Start your visit with a cocktail in the bar and enjoy the view 23 floors up in the DN skyscraper.
