At Far & Son Skomakeri, the focus is on craftsmanship. Their experience in shoemaking spans several decades, and they also offer services such as tailoring, dry cleaning and a key-cutting service.

Far & Son Skomakeri opened in 2006 in Södermalm and has been based in Östermalm since January 2022. However, their story stretches back a good bit further than that - the founder, i.e. the father in "Far & Son", started his career in shoemaking at 15 years old and has now worked in the industry for over 55 years. His extensive knowledge covers everything from smart dress shoes to everyday slip-ons. As a customer, you can get help with everything from repairing broken soles to polishing, or get a pair of completely customised shoes that are made by hand, based on your foot measurements and your choice of design. The store also has accessories such as shoelaces, soles and impregnation spray.

In addition to shoemaking, Far & Son offers services such as copying and updating keys, tailoring and dry cleaning of everything from wedding dresses and suits to carpets and other textiles. You can also buy engraved brass signs for, for example, your mailbox or gate. The idea is simply to offer a flexible and personal overall solution with several different craft services in one place, and in this way make their customers' everyday life a little easier.
