Definitivt ett av mina favoritmuseum i Stockholm! Det ligger väldigt fint till på Blasieholmen, och stadens siluetten utgör en otrolig backdrop utanför fönstren när man går genom museet.

Huvudutställningen består av en tidslinje med konst med svensk koppling från och med 1500-talet och fram till idag. Man börjar vid 1500-talet och allteftersom man promenerar runt i museet och mellan våningarna så når man slutligen nutid. Även om jag har sett utställningen flera gånger gillar jag fortfarande att gå dit, man hittar något nytt att titta på varje gång. Min favoritdel är 1800- och 1900-talsdelarna. Där finns bl.a. min favorittavla Riddarfjärden av Eugene Jansson.

Rekommenderar verkligen att gå hit. Även om det kan vara mycket folk så känns det aldrig trångt eftersom utställningen och byggnaden är stor och består av många olika rum. Det finns även ett café i byggnaden om man vill ta en fika innan eller efter besöket på museet.

After the renovation and reopening in the autumn of 2018, the National Museum of Stockholm has really gotten a boost and become one of my favorite museums. An incredibly beautiful museum with many famous works in the collection. A big plus is of course that it is a state museum and thus free to visit.
