Julbordets tid är igång och tanken var att jag skulle bjuda min fina ungdomsvän på deras julbord men se det skulle Berns Asiatiska inte alls ha i år😱… happ där sprack min tradition! Men deras brunch är ju också vida känd för så då får det bli det.

Grand Hôtels egna spegelsalen och Berns stora salong har mkt gemensamt, de är mäktiga att vistas i med andra ord. Lyx å flärd medan man avnjuter maten och det är så jag vill unna mig när jag går ut. 4 av 5!

Matupplevelse var att de kalla delen: sushin🍣, tillbehören🥗 och Sashimi var som buffé medan varmrätterna kom i småportioner till bordet som man kunde be om hur mkt/ofta som det önskades. Dessertbordet var ovanlighetens skull sparsmakat, inte alls det där vräkiga mycket utan nästan lite fattigt (eller är man skadad av att vara van vid att få äckligt mycket + massa olika saker🤪) i utbudet. Gillar tänket på att det varma kommer vid bordet pö om pö så det håller fräscht och att det faktiskt är VARMT, vitsen med VARMrätter liksom! Men själva varmrätterna i sig var inget wow med varierande smaker utan det var sliskigt bbq sött&tungt i det flesta rätterna, hettan fanns men det kändes tyvärr platt i smak spektrumet. Skulle jag gå igen på brunchen så skulle jag bett om att de inte behöver anstränga sig att servera mig dessa rätterna och istället satsa jag på den kalla delen för att äta i massor på deras sushin🍣 och eventuellt avsluta något litet fr. gottisbordet🍬!!

Otroligt vacker och tidlös lokal, högt i tak och stora mäktiga ljuskronor. Fin service, de vet hur man blandar spicy margarita! Smakade ostron med asiatisk touch till förrätt, crispy spicy salmon och bläckfisksallad. Hade föredragit kall, icke-friterad bläckfisk men det gav en trevlig crisp till den för övrigt goda marinerade salladen. Till huvudrätt mix sushi med många olika fisksorter för variation (tonfisk, lax, hälleflundra, röding, pilgrimsmussla och 2 andra vitfiskar). So disappointed by this once legendary brunch place. It used to be so good and so generous. Today it feels like a really poor copy of the past splendour. The dessert buffet used to be magical. Now it’s tiny and poorly stocked. The sushi is still somewhat fresh but nowhere nearly as varied. And the dim sums? Where did they go? Maten var god men tyvärr förstördes hela upplevelsen av att hovmästaren var väldigt otrevlig och lät oss inte ens äta efterrätt då de hade råkat göra en dubbelbokning.
