Just a few steps from Odenplan, this neighbourhood Italian restaurant serves Roman pizza and own-made pasta in various forms. Cucina Povera opened their doors in November 2022, in a cosy little space on Odengatan next to Odenplan. They're open from lunch until dinner, serving a menu with an emphasis on pizza tonda, a thin, crispy Roman-style pizza, as well as homemade fresh pasta. Inspiration comes from Italian "poor-man's cuisine" - la cucina povera - which is based on dishes that use simple, yet top-quality, ingredients.
The menu is full of southern Italian classics with no frills or flounces, such as ragu made from Swedish beef and simmered for several hours with red wine and Neapolitan tomatoes. If you're in the mood for a pizza, they're served direct from the Neapolitan pizza oven. In addition to pasta and pizza they also offer a selection of starters, desserts, Italian wines and other drinks.

Bra priser och god mat! Mysig lokal, enkelt, trevlig personal. Jag åt en pasta med burrata och jag gillade det. Pastan är al dente vilket jag 100% föredrar! Kommer absolut gå tillbaka.

Alla måste hit! Så god genuin italienska pasta, pizza och dessert. Pastan var perfekt kokt och tillbehören är så enkla och okomplicerade. Italienskt som bäst, i Sverige och skulle nästa kunna säga bättre än i Italien 🇮🇹🍝🍕

I wanted to give this one 5 stars because I loved their sister restaurant at K25 (recently closed down). The food is still great, so 5 stars for that! Very rich but oh so tasty plate of fresh spaghetti with your choice or carbonara, amatriciana, tomato and burrata or pesto (and more!).
