Ever since Flippin' Burgers opened their first restaurant in Vasastan the hype has been real. And now you can also enjoy their famous hamburgers on Norrlandsgatan in the city centre.
Flippin' Burgers have a reputation for simple burgers made from scratch from local ingredients using small-scale producers, as well as for their authentic American diner-style decor. The first restaurant opened in 2012 and really kickstarted the hamburger trend in Stockholm, and in autumn 2021 their 450 square metre Norrlandsgatan branch opened. The concept is exactly the same as in Vasastan; simple hamburgers and nostalgic diner style.
The focus is on locally produced ingredients from small-scale producers, which includes everything from small meat producers to the bakery that bakes the fresh hamburger buns. The menu is relatively small and consists of a bunch of selected burgers in classic style, but you can also get a vegetarian burger with a plant-based patty. Pair your burger with shakes made with Lejonet & Björnen ice cream and standard milk, or a beer or a glass of wine.

Tastes exactly like the original (when they're in top shape there!). Love it! Even though I ate the original probably 25-30 times, I tried the Flimpy burger for the first time. Shared one of those and an ordinary Flippin. Flimpy is a burger they don't have on the menu. 3x50g with cheddar and pepper jack cheese, silver onion, mustard and more. It's nice, I'll take one of those next time too. Even the shaks tasted identical. The place itself is decorated in much the same way, but everything looks new and fresh unlike the original. Then whether you think it's positive or negative is well up to everyone - I can think it's genuine and nice when it's a little worn out. But it will happen over time if nothing else, right? :)
