Yesterday on Walpurgis itself (didn't think about it when the table was booked) me and a friend who has worked there when Lallertstedt was at the helm of the restaurant! There were mixed feelings when we walked in and the room was completely different from what we both remembered. I think the renovation was cozy and lovely but the style was recognizable from other restaurants. However, I think it was damn sad that they didn't keep the bar's place with that view, it's the drink that usually gives money than the food. 3.5 out of 5!

Me and my company had their tuna salad and it was a lot of salad and we both like the food fr. The rosé salad together with the creamy mayonnaise dressing with a taste of anchovies, two flavors that may not suit everyone in the amount that was served. In any case, we were happy and perfect for such an evening with the first real spring feeling with a fairly high degree on the thermometer. Nothing huge Wow with the salad out of the ordinary. Our table neighbors had ordered the expensive turbot (over 600 SEK!!) and we found that it can easily be divided into two, nice big pieces really!! 3 out of 5!

We got nice service but unfortunately it was cut down a lot when I originally thought of having something good for my dessert, their cheese ice cream which was really exciting and good really. Perfectly creamy and tempy when it arrived BUT my drink that was supposed to be didn't sync and the ice cream started to get a little too melted so I had time to eat it. I had to tell them that I skipped the drink because it felt pointless to have a drink for dessert when it was already eaten🙄 Too bad because there they missed out on a small income from the carelessness! The service level was nice and the waitress had a nice treatment with a smile that was warm but you were a little too annoyed that I didn't get the drink together with the dessert. Details that can cost a decent amount with the whole, 2.5 out of 5!

Do you want to come back? Hmmm meow there are better places actually and not to take a spontaneous for drinks anyway! The exclusive view you got before makes me rather go to a competitor for just hanging out at the bar. Klassiska Gondolen vid Slussen i Stockholm har efter ägarbyten och renovering äntligen öppnat igen. I går (13/11) bjöd jag en gammal vän på middag på Gondolen. Vi uppskattade den vänliga personalen och de trevliga lokaliteterna. För min del beställde jag "skaldjursris" som var en besvikelse. Jag ville inte förstöra den goda stämningen vid bordet så när kyparen kom för att hämta de tomma tallrikarna sa jag kort till honom: "Hälsa kocken att det var mycket ris och lite skaldjur". Rätten innehöll kanske 90% ris, en sås och för övrigt sönderkokta skaldjursrester utan smak eller tuggmotstånd.

När vi satt oss fick vi frågan om vi ville ha bubbel- eller stillvatten och vi valde bubbel. Mot slutet av måltiden bytte kyparen utan att fråga oss ut den halvfulla karaffen mot en ny, vi såg väl det som en trevlig serviceåtgärd. I början fick vi också frågan om vi önskade bröd innan huvudrätten och de tycke vi var ok.

När sen notan kom in noterade jag att Gondolen debiterat hutlösa 55 kronor för en liten brödbit med en klick smör. Men vi tog för givet att restaurangen likt de flesta andra serverar bröd utan att debitera. På motsvarande sätt förutsatte vi att vattnet skulle vara utan kostnad, men debiterades groteska 84 kronor för det.

Vid betalning hade man glömt ta betalt för vinet, men vi påpekade detta för den stackars servitrisen..så det blev rätt till slut: Baren var nog sämre än tidigare och väldigt trångt..fanns dock ytterligare en bar en trappa upp…vi var i det stora hela nöjda.
