L'Avventura

Had a fantastic nice evening at L ' Deventura yesterday. The best is the environment/atmosphere. A grand room filled with people is just right stimmig. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I ate a carpaccio, which may have been the tastiest I have ever eaten. To the main course I ate a entrecote that was very good and perfectly fried. It was served with a magical sky and a truffle mayonnaise that was out of this world. It was also a gremolata (a mess of parsley, garlic, oil and lemon) added, but it did I no more than to taste. It was probably mostly there to italienifiera the right. As an accessory I took a fried onion, which was different and good. Drank three different drinks, all of which were entirely in my taste (quite unusual). Small minus, however, for tea bag to tea.

Tasted some other dishes, which were not on par with mine, but I am not going to weigh in the grade, because there are not dishes that I would choose. The overall menu was perhaps not entirely in my taste, but since this is not a restaurant I will come to especially often, it does not feel like a catastrophe.

Price wise, I think it is surprisingly good I have to say (NB. The food, do not remember what the beverage cost), considering how ambitious everything feels and that it is the Stureplan group that is behind (large groups behind ambitious concepts usually result in high Prices). Would almost like to draw it as far as to call it affordable, considering how good the restaurant this is anyway.

I do not think the Italian kitchen can reach up to quite the same high levels as for example Nordic or Asian. It's always good, but it's seldom you get blown away. But the carpaccio actually succeeded, and the Entrecoten with accessories was basically as good as a piece can become, and together with the fantastic overall impression, it actually becomes full pot and a place on the favourite list. Looking forward to coming back!
