Lydmar is known as one of the city's most homely and hangout-friendly hotel restaurants, decorated like a combination of a library and living room. The restaurant is located one floor up from the hotel entrance and is lined with soft leather armchairs and bookshelves filled with books and games for anyone who wants to keep themselves busy after dinner. They serve everything from breakfast to dinner, with both French and American influences on the menu, including French steak tartare and cheeseburgers. On Saturdays and Sundays, they serve brunch accompanied by live jazz. The bar offers cocktails with a focus on craftsmanship, as well as well-paired snacks.
Tucked away upstairs, the large outdoor terrace is a popular summer oasis with a view of Strömmen and serving everything from lunch and dinner to post-work hangouts and drinks. Outside the entrance at the front, both international and Swedish musicians perform live music several evenings a week during the summer months. Was there a Saturday lately and ate dinner with my guy. We like to sit in comfortable armchairs and there is much of it at Lydmar, which made for several hours of hanging. We ate some snacks to
Drink-marinated Manchego, olives and good bread.
To the main dish I ate a terrific turbot with Pumpagnocci and mushroom foam.
My guy who runs meatless month chose asparagus risotto with parmesan. He pleased with! Quite expensive but it forgets when it is so good.
We are soon back at Lydmar.
