Just so I felt when I read about Man In The moons Sparrisveckor so together with another Yummie mommy and as a yelp, we decided to have a girl evening and eat asparagus. I've been curious about Man in The Moon and wanted to check out the Ölutbudet for a while.
We booked a table on Tuesday night. Outside it was completely calm and like what a dull and LTE rainy everyday, but when we arrived so was more like entering a semi-lively pub on a Thursday night, I liked it right away.
What I did not like was that we were standing in front of the bar and the bartender did not give us a glance until he had time to talk to us. A smile had been nice to get that shows that he saw us. We were placed with menus at a table and then began our wait. It took time to get the order but then came both beer and food fast. We also got the question of food once, but then it was completely empty of service. When we ate and the plates were removed we did not ask about dessert, coffee or another beer. I had easily been able to drink a beer to so remarkable service quite clearly so I really understand the reviews about the service here. It's hard to pinpoint what doesn't really match the service. Our waiter was really nice, knowledgeable and chose a fitting beer for my food but it was the rest that didn't bother and just lack of attention.
In terms of food we had eaten the appetizer in the form of pintxos so we went directly to the main course. Some of the Sparrisrätterna went to get both as a pre-and main course and I chose white asparagus with cured ham, parmesan and ramslökshollandaise. In came a large portion with thick beautiful asparagus. The asparagus was nicely cooked with good texture and the ham was good. Hollandaisen lacked both acidity and the taste of Ramson was non-existent. It could just as well be spinach. Celestial sin, I think, Ramson is ridiculously good. Generally, I just lacked acid in the dish and it was a bit too fat and thick. That could be what made me unable to eat.
For the food I drank, after recommendation, a Citrus Weisse that on my own tasted stale cellar but in combination with the food was fantastic.
We had a nice evening and I will gladly return to taste more on the incredible ölutbudet, but not in the first place to eat food. I would like to browse the vintage list for beer, 330 kinds of stored beer on a list I have not even seen. Wow is just the first name.

Kvarterspuben. Went here with 3 friends around 9-10 in the evening and did not Have great Expectations (our first visit) Has a wide range of beers that were a bit more expensive in price.
Oops what we were surprised! We all were hungry and ordered each one right. Wow! We were shocked at how great the food tasted!
The Place is quiet with muted lighting, the waiter was incredibly attentive and pleasant.
We drank whisky and were very satisfied with the food.
