Michelangelo is one of Stockholm's absolute classic Italian restaurants, which has been on Västerlånggatan in the Old Town since 1973. The dining room ceiling boats a reproduction of Michelangelo's famous Sistine Chapel painting in Rome and, as you would expect, the menu is filled with classic Italian dishes and wines.
The menu is broad and consists of both larger and smaller dishes to eat either with a glass of wine or as part of a full-scale Italian family dinner. Choose from antipasti, charcuterie plates, pasta, risotto, pizza, meat and fish main courses - and of course well-loved desserts such as gelato and tiramisu. The restaurant is also passionate about wine and their list includes Italian wines from both the Old and New Worlds.
As well as the dining room, Michelangelo has two cellar vaults that can be booked for various events, celebrations, conferences and openings. The two vaults can accommodate up to 80 people in total and work equally well for both smaller and larger events. During the run-up to Christmas, the restaurant serves an atmospheric julbord with Italian flavours.
