Elegant and relaxed at the same time
Since its inception in 2014, Nook has been a celebrated fixture on Stockholm's restaurant scene. The restaurant was originally located on Åsögatan, then moved to Ringvägen and is now housed in a sophisticated locale on Högbergsgatan. They continue to serve affordable, seasonal three-course menus.
An ambitious neighbourhood restaurant in Södermalm is how Nook themselves have described their popular concept near Mariatorget. They serve both snacks and three-course menus with influences from France, Sweden and sometimes even from Asia and other parts of the world. The menus change depending on the season and availability of good ingredients, and are characterised by a sustainable mindset. The food is also accompanied by favourites in the form of everything from French wines to beer, aged gin and avec.
The location on Högbergsgatan is decorated in sophisticated Scandinavian style with stripped-down wooden furniture and exposed pipes along the ceiling. It's elegant and relaxed at the same time, and if you like you can sit along the speckled bar with a view of the kitchen. If you want to sit a little more secluded, Nook has a chambre séparée for up to 20 people. The restaurant also has a menu that is well suited to catering.

Så himla kul att Nook öppnat igen! Och det är precis lika bra som tidigare! Lokalen är mindre och mysigare än den senaste, vilket bara är plus enligt mig. Vi började med porkbun och tempurafriterad vaxböna som snacks och även om båda var riktigt goda så var nog vaxbönan snäppet bättre. Sen delade vi på dom två menyerna och fick då hängmörad biff och rimmad gös som första rätt, sen hubbardkyckling och marulk, och till sist fikonbladsmousse och hasselnötsglass. Allt var otroligt gott och personalen riktigt trevlig! Vi fick även superbra tips för vin som passade till alla rätter.
