So was the day finally here. The day then I would test the PA & co. Pub which for many years has been one of the most difficult to get a table at, and as many keeps as one of their favorites. Local restaurant No 1? The expectations were high, not that I would fall off the Chair of anything directly, but a little bit of that on Nyrbogatan 38/similar. It's not wow, but it's something that makes you feel comfortable, so incredibly good.

But it was actually not sorry. First and foremost, local/atmosphere. Not impressed. Worn and unpretentious, which of course should be part of the charm, but I didn't get that feeling. I felt like the restaurant any time, but a bit slitnare and sadder. Since the service ... neither good or bad. The menu, which was presented nicely on a slate, thought I was good and pleasant. Much to choose from. Many classics but also a lot of a little more exciting. Prices normal. A little decision anxiety, as usual, resulted in three entrées: chicken wings at Asian, classic escargot and a laxtataki.

Here I think the waitress should have warned me about the size of the dishes. Chicken wings were hearty, but not less than a normal sized appetizer, I would say. Six St. snails are notoriously very little food (for those of you who have never eaten it, imagine six clams) and laxtatikin was vanishingly small. Would have needed at least a starter to one of the same size to even be a little measured, preferably two to and had not had any problems with three. So shall it be. Then they should call it small dishes and recommend several. Can so clearly been unlucky and got everything just the minimum, but as I said, then the waitress warned me.

Taste wise, however, it was better. The snails among the best I have eaten, salmon delicious and chicken wings as well. Tasted even society's salad of Guinea fowl, which was good but not more than that, however, (this was a main course and it was considerably more generous in size).

So in summary, great food, but for small dishes (that said, may well have been the unlucky though) and mediocre in General. The company was of a similar view. Given how much there is to choose from, I probably never initiative yourself to go here again. But if any of my friends who love it pulls there me I have nothing against to try again.
