Rain Indian Kitchen
Rain, which used to be called Amazing India, is in between Telefonplan and Midsommarkransen, south of Södermalm. They serve a menu with hundred-year-old flavours and recipes from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh at lunch and dinner. Wicker furniture, exposed brick walls and delicate ceiling lamps set the tone.
The menu is inspired by the entire Indian sub-continent, with dishes from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Choose from everything from snacks to traditional stews, vegetable dishes, sizzlers and sweet desserts, all served in cosy surroundings with candlelight and muted lighting. Staff at Rain come from the sub-continent and have huge experience of the various cuisines that inspire the restaurant's cooking. In addition to non-alcoholic drinks, they also serve beer from local breweries and wine. During the summer months they open up their popular outdoor dining area along the pavement.
Right next door is the restaurant's simpler streetfood spot, Indian Street Food by Amazing India.
