Rain, which used to be called Amazing India, is in between Telefonplan and Midsommarkransen, south of Södermalm. They serve a menu with hundred-year-old flavours and recipes from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh at lunch and dinner. Wicker furniture, exposed brick walls and delicate ceiling lamps set the tone.

The menu is inspired by the entire Indian sub-continent, with dishes from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Choose from everything from snacks to traditional stews, vegetable dishes, sizzlers and sweet desserts, all served in cosy surroundings with candlelight and muted lighting. Staff at Rain come from the sub-continent and have huge experience of the various cuisines that inspire the restaurant's cooking. In addition to non-alcoholic drinks, they also serve beer from local breweries and wine. During the summer months they open up their popular outdoor dining area along the pavement.

Right next door is the restaurant's simpler streetfood spot, Indian Street Food by Amazing India.

The staff is nice, they have a liquor license and the food is good. The salad buffet is a little boring, but yes... those kinds of salad buffets are always boring.

It takes a bit of silence to get the food, but what you gain from is t...

Very medium place. Have so far not stuck to Indian food and here they did not change. Be there for lunch. Didn't feel like the spices were cooked together in the pot, but could be eaten. Be salad buffet to which was quite sad, jalapeños, cucumber, tomato and salad. Feels most unnecessary...

Jättetrevlig personal och jättefin service. Nybyggt och superfräscha lokaler. Mycket mat för pengarna och goda smaker. Rekommenderar!

Värsta service, värre bemötande och väldigt lågt kvalitet på maten.
När jag bad om att få lite sallad till en rätt får jag som svar att så kan dom inte göra för det är onte lönsamt dom som äger restaurang. Ja...
