Review of Restaurang Babette – by David F.

We were three guys who walked here quite late on a Wednesday evening after a dinner at Calle P. We weren't really full and thought we'd share a pizza here. The place was almost completely full except for the edge of a high table. There were only two chairs available but it was calm, one of us stood up and we pushed ourselves into the corner. So lovely, felt a little southern European in some way!
I had very high expectations for the pizza as it looked insanely good in all the pictures I've seen and I had heard a lot of good things about it. In addition, their sister pizzeria Galinas in Teatern is my favorite pizza in town. And it was even beyond expectations. We had one with mozzarella, chanterelles and black cabbage - yes you just hear! It was almost perfect. Good flavors and the bread was chewy but still a little crispy and it had such burnt spots it can get when baking on very high heat which I absolutely love!
I have nothing negative to say about Babette, incredibly lovely and lively atmosphere, unpretentious, very good pizza and nice staff. The only reason I don't give a five is that I want to come back and try their small and medium dishes first. And I can't wait for that!
