This colourful restaurant chain takes its culinary inspiration from the Mexican taquerias of the Mission District of San Francisco. Forget bland Scandified TexMex - at Zócalo on Regeringsgatan it's all about fresh, nutritious Mexican food the way it's served in California. 

Zócalo is named after the largest square in Mexico City, but the flavours they serve come from the streetfood served in the Mexican Mission District of San Francisco. The neighbourhood is famous for its authentic tacos and unique Mission burrito. At Zócalo you can experience a taste of the American West Coast and choose from a selection of burritos, tacos and quesadillas all made from fresh, healthy ingredients. 

Just like the food, the decor transports you to a colourful Mexican neighbourhood. When you walk into the restaurant on Regeringsgatan, in the city centre between Gallerian shopping centre and Kungsträdgården park, you're met by pastel-coloured walls in different shades, long community tables, industrial lamps and plants. The idea is that you should be able to eat well and hang out with friends and family, just like in a square in Mexico City. You can also combine your food with a Mexican soft drink, beer or cocktail if you want to enjoy the complete Mexican flavour experience.
