This authentic neighourhood bakery in Södermalm is run by second-generation baker Robin Delselius, whose family has generations of baking experience. Their whole selection - both sweet and savoury - is homemade and the classically stylish premises are an ideal place to sit and enjoy a cosy fika or something more substantial to eat.
There's been a café and bakery at Renstiernas gata 19 since the Forties and in 2016 Robin Delselius opened a new neighbourhood bakery here. Robin Delselius, who runs the eponymous bakery, comes from a well-known baking family who have run a bakery and café in the Stockholm archipelago for three generations.
Top-quality ingredients are used and everything is own-baked. The bakery draws in locals and passers-by with their buttery croissants and generously-filled shelves of loaves and buns. They also serve soups and hearty sandwiches if you're after something slightly more substantial. Pop by in the morning for one of their breakfast deals, which includes a newly-baked filled roll, freshly-ground filter coffee or tea and a juice, smoothie or yoghurt.
As if the delicious baked goods weren't enough, the old premises have been tastefully renovated and decorated by the well-known interiors stylist Mari Strenghielm. White-tiled walls, dark brown vintage Thonet chairs, grey wall panels and built-in seating create a classic yet modern café environment.
