Festivals with concerts
21–22 August
As last year, there will be music, food, drinks and a wonderful atmosphere over two late-summer evenings in Aspudden. Vinterviken Sunset Sessions runs for two days and features live music including Girl Scout, Elias Rønnenfelt and Esther. All set against the magical backdrop of the ornately decorated festival grounds.

26–30 August
At the end of August, a new outdoor festival will be launched in Stockholm, namely Winterviken Live – The Summer Stage. Over four evenings, four strong line-ups await, with artists such as Familjenn, Uno Svenningsson and Chris Kläfford.

Food and drink festivals in Stockholm
Festivals focused on food, wine and other drinks
21–25 July
Stockholm Thai Festival takes over Kungsträdgården with five days of Thai food, a market, music and culture. Visitors will also be able to enjoy performances, dance and massages. New for this year, the festival has been extended by a full two extra days.

25–27 July
Tasty street food from all corners of the world, beer from local craft breweries, wine and indulgent “sweet food” are on the programme when the Street Food Festival comes to Stockholm on 25–27 July. Expect exciting food competitions, after-work hangs where popular DJs set the mood and, of course, plenty of food and drink.

Cultural festivals
12–16 August
Stockholm Film Festival is once again staging this year's big film festival. From 12–16 August, Rålambshovsparken, commonly known as Rålis, will be transformed into a large outdoor cinema where thousands of film lovers can gather on picnic blankets and enjoy hand-picked films

14–16 August
Once again there will be a three-day festival in Södermalm as Nytorgsfesten gets under way. Some of the weekend's highlights are a hippie market, yoga, DJ performances, an ice-cream festival and a funfair. In keeping with tradition, the festival opens with a festive carnival procession where everyone is welcome to bring an instrument and join in with the music.

April–September
Every weekend from April to September, Hornstulls Strand is filled with market stalls, food, drink and music. The market, where both private individuals and businesses sell new and second-hand items, art and crafts, is in its eleventh year. There are food trucks on site, and from time to time the market is visited by artists and musicians.
