6 June
Stockholm's most secret pop club, Tequila Club, is organising a full-day festival at Trädgården. Expect tequila and a great atmosphere, and you'll see which artists take the stage when you're there. Last year, artists such as Klara Keller, Jonas Lundqvist, Sibille Attar, Familjen and Mwuana performed at the festival.

12–14 June
Rosendal Garden Party has established itself as a festival to be reckoned with and attracts both big-name artists and large crowds. The festival runs from 12–14 June and as well as music, visitors can enjoy art, food and drinks. Artists perform everything from pop and indie to hip-hop and electronic music and among the acts this year are Kaytranada, TLC, Agnes, Augustine and José González.

24 June
Broken Summer is the ultimate one-day festival in the heart of Stockholm for deathcore and metalcore fans. On 24 June the festival takes place at Zinkensdamms IP and brings together some of the genre's leading bands, with Bad Omens headlining, for an intense day of heavy music and raw energy.

27 June
On 27 June it's time for this year's edition of Söderblomster, which premiered last year. The music festival takes place at five spots around Slussen: Gondolen, Pelago, Café Klotet, The Hills and Riche Fenix. All of them are free to visit and, for the evening, have created their own festival dish that is perfect for eating standing up. Among the artists performing you'll find, among others, Baba Stiltz, Raghd, Småland, Johnny Devils and The Plan.

21–22 August
As last year, there will be music, food, drinks and a wonderful atmosphere over two late-summer evenings in Aspudden. Vinterviken Sunset Sessions runs for two days and features live music including Girl Scout, Elias Rønnenfelt and Esther. All set against the magical backdrop of the ornately decorated festival grounds.

At the end of August, a new outdoor festival will be launched in Stockholm, namely Winterviken Live – The Summer Stage. Over four evenings, four strong line-ups await, with artists such as Familjenn, Uno Svenningsson and Chris Kläfford.

Food and drink festivals in Stockholm
Festivals focused on food, wine and other drinks
8–9 May
The Street Food Festival, the Liquorice Festival and the Deli Festival come together for a two-day festival along Marievikskajen. Vårfestivalen offers gastronomic experiences such as street food, craft beer, delis, wine bars and liquorice, and you can also book yourself onto various tastings and food schools. DJs are on hand to enhance the atmosphere even more.

On 9 May it's time for the Nordic region's only festival fully dedicated to rum. At Stockholm Rum Fest visitors can sample over 150 different kinds of rum, punches, cocktails and Caribbean food. There will also be music, entertainment and a truly tropical atmosphere.

From 14–16 May, Smålandstorget will once again be filled with some of the world's best burgers as Stockholm Burger Fest returns. This year the festival marks its tenth anniversary and will feature burgers from Spain, the USA and England. Stockholm Burger Fest is a collaboration between the crew behind the burger site Burgerdudes and Barrels Burger and Beers.

For the seventh year running, Pompette Dryckeshandel is organising the Wine Festival, this year at Färgfabriken. Between midday and 10pm you can raise a glass of hand-picked wine to the sounds of music played by various DJs. 29 May–1 June
The Spring Beast culture festival is taking over Snösätra in the southern suburbs once again, this time over the Ascension Day weekend. For four days there is a full programme including live graffiti, workshops in face painting, open yoga and music played by DJs and live bands. A number of food trucks will also be on site for anyone who wants to eat something tasty. Visiting the festival costs nothing.

At the end of May there will be a street festival in the heart of Stockholm city as Sthlm City Block Party returns. Over two days the blocks around Malmskillnadsgatan, Jakobsbergsgatan, Biblioteksgatan and Sergelterrassen will be filled with music, shopping and pop-up events designed to create the right early-summer vibes. There will also be plenty of food and drink on offer, including food trucks, oysters and champagne.

Stockholm Film Festival repeats their retro-inspired crowd-pleaser, hosting a film festival for audiences arriving by car and bicycle. From 10–14 June, films will be shown under the open sky at Solvalla. Movies include "Grease" and “Howl's Moving Castle”.

Once again there will be a three-day festival in Södermalm as Nytorgsfesten gets under way. Some of the weekend's highlights are a hippie market, yoga, DJ performances, an ice-cream festival and a funfair. In keeping with tradition, the festival opens with a festive carnival procession where everyone is welcome to bring an instrument and join in with the music.

Every weekend from April to September, Hornstulls Strand is filled with market stalls, food, drink and music. The market, where both private individuals and businesses sell new and second-hand items, art and crafts, is in its eleventh year.
