Good value restaurants in Kungsholmen

Vinfolket is a combined wine bar and bistro run by a passionate crew. There's a basement floor and a mezzanine where you can meet up over a glass or two of wine and something to eat. The food menu pairs with the wine menu and includes good-value dishes from southern Europe.

Styrelsen is a popular neighbourhood bistro with Continental flavours and a Parisian atmosphere. Southern European and Swedish classics are served in relaxed surroundings with an open kitchen. As well as the bistro itself, there's also a bar and a cosy courtyard, as well as a chambre séparée.

At The Good Gringo, you can fill up on burritos 'Mission-style' - i.e. Mexican-American street food, consisting of fresh ingredients wrapped in soft tortillas. The burritos may be generous, but prices are modest, so you can even visit the colourful restaurant near the City Hall the day before payday.

Close to the City Hall, Kungsfisk is a small nook serving well-prepared fish dishes at decent prices. In the open kitchen, you'll find dishes like fish & chips, fish soup, and fish tacos made with fresh ingredients from the sea. You can choose to sit down and eat in or order your food for take away.

The Street Food Labs creates exciting flavour combinations with Mexican, Asian and American influences. They serve fresh, colourful variations on street food favourites such as tacos, burritos and burgers. Streetfood 2.0 at decent prices. 

On Sankt Eriksgatan 43, Juno is a modern Mediterranean brasserie with drinks and flavours such as hummus, burrata, paella, and grilled dishes with sides at an affordable price. The interior also evokes warmer latitudes, perfect when you're longing to head south.

This intimate little restaurant is run by Ulf Fredholm and Charlotte Mellberg, who met while working at Operakällaren and Café Opera. They prepare reasonably priced food with Swedish and Southern European influences, served in cosy surroundings where you'll feel well taken care of.

Traditional Greek flavours are prepared with a slightly more modern twist at Vout Vout. Enjoy hearty salads, bowls, and souvlaki served in the restaurant's own style. The aim is to create a holistic experience, with surroundings reminiscent of a Greek holiday.

If you're craving really good sushi, visit Saisho Sushi. Both traditional and exciting sushi and poke bowls made with fresh ingredients are served in the bright little premises. Eat on-site or take away.

Close to the entrance of Västermalmsgallerian shopping centre, Le Bistro serves lunch, dinner, and brunch with Swedish and Continental influences. You can also round off the day here with a post-work drink.
