Lucia concerts in Stockholm

Lucia concerts in Stockholm

Lucia has been a Swedish Christmas tradition since the end of the 18th century and is now one of the country's most popular and atmospheric celebrations. The festivities on and around the 13th December are associated with the darkest day of the year, saffron-spiced lussekatter Lucia buns and, of course, Saint Lucia herself, all dressed in white with a crown of candles. Each year, several Lucia processions, concerts and activities are arranged in Stockholm; follow our guide to the churches and concert halls where you can experience this very special celebration.
