This well-established hostel draws in guests from all over the world. As well as communal areas and a courtyard they also have a sauna, breakfast café and restaurant. The hostel rents out bicycles and arranges tours. Groups of 6-8 people can hire an entire apartment complete with a kitchen and bathroom.

This centrally located design hostel is part of a chain that has branches in some of Europe's most popular cities. There are private rooms, shared dorms and a studio apartment - as well as creative spaces, urban art and social happenings for global flashpackers. This environmentally-friendly hotel and youth hostel is housed in a former prison building from the 1800s. The hostel is on the island of Långholmen, with its own swimming beach and jogging track but still close to the buzz of Hornstull and rest of Södermalm.
