The best restaurants in Norrtälje

På Grillen Steakhouse is just a short walk from the bus station and town centre. Take a seat in the comfortable dining room and enjoy a lunch or dinner special, or drop by for a post-work drink with friends and colleagues. Naturally there are plenty of grilled dshes on the menu, both meat and vegetarian, as well as burgers and toasts. During the warmer months of the year you can eat and drink al fresco.

Eat tasty hamburgers at popular Ed's Burgers, handily located south of the river, in the heart of town. The extensive menu includes masses of different burgers - both classics and more innovative variations - with a choice of sides and sauces. How about homemade guacamole or garlic sausage? All burgers are made from locally produced fresh meat. If you want to eat lunch at Ed's you need to get here in good time, the small restaurant gets full pretty quickly.

Den Gyllene Räven is the place to go for food, wine and tall tales. They serve lunch and dinner in modern surroundings, with beautiful views over the harbour. DJs occasionally spin tunes and during the summer months you can eat and drink al fresco on the outdoor area with its own bar.

Right outside Norrtälje town centre, Restaurang Havspiren serves up a hearty dose of authentic archipelago vibes. Eat dishes with European, Scandinavian and Swedish influences and, naturally, plenty of seafood. Views over glittering Norrtälje bay included. During the summer months you can sit and eat on the deck that stretches right around the restaurant.

Åtellet is right on the waterfront in the centre of town. The hotel includes an inviting restaurant and bar, which welcomes hotel guests, locals and other tourists alike. Drop by for breakast, lunch or dinner, or coffee and brunch; there's also a separate children's menu for younger guests. You can also book the restaurant for larger events, such as weddings, parties or business lunches.

Poké Burger on Posthusgatan is the restaurant chain's first outlet outside Stockholm and they serve up the same tasty flavours, well-mixed cocktails and great atmosphere as at other Poké Burgers. The restaurant also boasts two outdoor serving areas, where you can enjoy bowls and burgers and a cold drink during the summer months.

This cosy wine bar in the middle of Stora torget welcomes both hungry and thirsty guests. Drop by for a glass of fantastic wine, or another drink, and if you want to eat something the menu includes dishes such as pasta, small grilled pizzas and delicious desserts. You can also choose from a wide selection of cheeses that pair perfectly with wine.

Roughly halfway between Norrtälje and Rimbo is Torvalla by, where you'll find the farm restaurant Cissi & Clara. The restaurant, which is run on Clara's family farm, serves a five-course dinner on Fridays and Saturdays with a pairing drinks package. Occasionally they also open for long weekend lunches, also with a five-course set menu. The tasting menu varies according to the season and inspiration. Cissi & Clara can also be booked for catering.
