Well-known musician and gourmand Plura will once again be laying out his Christmas table at historic Stortorgskällaren in the Old Town, where classic Swedish Christmas dishes combine with his personal favourites and musical memories. A varied selection of both vegetarian and vegan dishes is included in the Christmas buffet. The atmosphere is both warm and festive, and on Christmas Eve, Stortorgskällaren welcomes guests at three seating times.

Villa Källhagen serves a classic Christmas buffet with modern twists. The backdrop is particularly special at this time of year, and they make a huge effort to create a festive and warm atmosphere. The buffet includes everything from classic herring to carefully rolled meatballs, as well as homemade mustard and a generous dessert table. Nothing is left to chance. On Christmas Eve, the buffet is served in two sittings, lunch and evening.

They serve a classic Swedish Christmas buffet on Christmas Eve, featuring homemade delicacies that can be enjoyed in the company of family, relatives, and friends. There will be two sittings on Christmas Eve. 

At Restaurant J in Nacka, just a short boat ride from Nybrokajen, visitors can enjoy a classic yet intimate julbord on Christmas Eve. Guests are greeted by blazing fire bowls before stepping into the dining room where a traditional Christmas buffet, filled with homemade herring, sausages, salmon, ham, and much more, is laid out. If you really want to treat yourself, you can also pre-order seafood to add to your meal. The restaurant is open for lunch on Christmas Eve.

Ulriksdals Värdshus has hosted julbord every year since the inn opened in the 1800s. Eating Christmas dinner here you're surrounded by the echoes of the past. On Christmas Eve, they serve a Christmas buffet where many of the dishes are based on ingredients harvested from their own vegetable gardens. The Christmas buffet is traditional and follows the seven courses format. All meat served is Swedish. On Christmas Eve, the inn opens for two sittings.

This fairytale wooden villa on Djurgården serves a classic Swedish julbord until December 25th. A roaring open fire and glögg mulled wine enhance the Christmas spirit.

Each dish is prepared with care by the chefs, and the buffet features options that cater to all tastes. On Christmas Eve, there are a total of three sittings: lunch, afternoon, and evening.

Mister French serves their julbord on Skeppsbrokajen right up until 24 December, which means you can enjoy it on Christmas Eve. Blå Porten will be serving a classic Christmas buffet in beautiful and atmospheric 20th-century surroundings on Djurgården. The julbord begins in the inner courtyard with steaming mulled wine. There are also several vegetarian options. If you want to eat something other than Christmas food, there's a limited à la carte menu available, subject to availability. 

Strömma arranges a Christmas buffet cruise on Christmas Eve, either as a lunch cruise or an evening cruise. Homemade dishes are served in cosy salons aboard charming archipelago boats while gliding through the wintry archipelago landscape. The ticket includes welcome mulled wine, the Christmas buffet, and a cruise lasting 2.5 to 3 hours.

Celebrate Christmas with an Asian buffet at East on Stureplan. Exciting flavours, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The julbord rounds off with a specially compost dessert table filled with Asian sweet treats. The restaurant is open most of Christmas Eve, with lunch and evening sittings.

The Hotel Diplomat's Scandinavian brasserie on Strandvägen draws in local regulars and international guests all year round. The restaurant's open on Christmas Eve for anyone who fancies eating a non-Christmassy dinner with views over the waters of Nybroviken. 

On Christmas Eve, Boulebar will be open to welcome festive revellers who want to combine French Christmas food with a game of boules. You can choose which menu package you would like when you book, and there are four options to choose from: Simple, Petit, Ordinaire, or Deluxe, with the latter including a seafood platter and French cheeses. All the menu packages include a game of boules with a guide.

This classic restaurant is a real Stockholm institution. The historic beer hall on Medborgarplatsen serves traditional Swedish homecooking on Christmas Eve - perfect for anyone who can't survive without their fill of pickled herring and meatballs but doesn't want to tuck into a full Christmas buffet.

Kick off Christmas Eve with lunch or round it off with dinner - Prinsen is open all day. Its location in Bibliotekstan makes it perfect for last-minute Christmas shopping. They serve food with a "French feel, Swedish mood and ingredients of the highest calibre".

Urban Deli on Nytorget is open for both lunch and dinner on Christmas Eve. The menu is extensive and includes deli items from Urban Deli's store, such as shellfish and charcuterie. You can also buy all the ingredients you need to make Christmas food at home in the store.

Head to Fotografiska on Christmas Eve and enjoy lunch or dinner on a drop-in basis at Bistro Bread & Wine, where they prepare meals using the very best winter ingredients. If Christmas Eve calls for meatballs, you can order them, but the menu also features popular pizzas, pastries, and good coffee. Perhaps a warming negroni, craft beer, rosé mulled wine, or winter punch to go with your meal?

Bonnie's inside the Bank Hotel will be open on Christmas Eve. This year, they'll be celebrating with their usual elegant à la carte menu. The whole experience is enjoyed in sophisticated surroundings in the city centre.
