Where to find Stockholm restaurants open during the summer

The summer pub Måsen opened in 2023 outside Münchenbryggeriet and is run by the duo from A Bowl & Plates. Hang out here all summer and eat Mediterranean dishes or have a glass of wine.

Ling Long at Story Hotel Riddargatan has an enticing inner courtyard just a stone's throw from Stureplan. Celebrate the holidays with trendy medium-sized dishes, excellent cocktails and a great atmosphere. The dining room and bar are also open.

Summer is a wonderful season at Glashuset, with the water just a few steps from the outdoor seating area and the perfect sunny location for lazy afternoons with a drink in hand. They don't close over the summer, but continue to shake up cocktails and serve international appetisers and main dishes all summer long.

Eden, housed in a 19th century wooden villa on Smedsudden, has become a real summer favourite with sun-worshipping Stockholmers. They offer Mediterranean food, cocktails, events, a sauna and sporty activities in beautiful natural surroundings next to the waters of Riddarfjärden.

Boulebar in Rålambshovsparken is open all year round and since 2020 and they also have a sister branch in Haga park. Come to eat French-inspired lunch, dinner or brunch and, naturally, to challenge your party to a little boules. A true summer pleasure for all ages.

This bar and restaurant at Hotel At Six boasts one of Stockholm's most exclusive wine lists. If you'd rather sip a summery cocktail, their seasonal cocktail list won't disappoint. As well as drinks, they serve rustic dishes with influences from the Mediterranean. A great place to sit and watch the world go by.

With its Mediterranean-inspired outdoor seating and views over the water, Josefina is one of Stockholm's most popular summer hangouts. Happy holidaymakers come here to sip a cocktail in the lounge, grab a bite to eat in the restaurant, or dance in the sunshine when the DJ turns up the music. In one of Södermalm's cosiest neighbourhoods, Indio Kitchen focuses on elegant nikkei dishes for lunch and dinner. Italian neighbourhood restaurant Adria is open all summer, serving a new, summery menu from 1st July, featuring bolognese, burrata, and vongole. Besides the cosy dining room, they also have an al fresco dining area on Tulegatan where you can sit down and have dinner.

Head out on a mini excursion (just a fifteen-minute ride by commuter boat) to the old Saltsjöqvarn, where SQ invites you to a continental dining experience with a view of the entrance to Stockholm harbour. Since spring 2024, the rooftop restaurant Pelago has sat high at the top of the Katarinahuset building in Slussen. In a converted workshop on the inner-city island of Skeppsholmen, Torpedverkstan serves up fresh flavours in maritime surroundings. The atmosphere is relaxed and its setting right on the waterfront is idyllic. The bar serves cocktails, bubbles and other drinks.

With its huge outdoor terrace on Skeppsbrokajen, Mister French is one of Stockholm's most summery restaurants. Expect oodles of shellfish and a glam bar scene with views over Skeppsholmen and the entrance to Stockholm harbour. Popular among Stockholmers and tourists alike.

This Chinese restaurant in the MOOD Stockholm shopping arcade has a seasonal roof terrace, EAT Garden, where you can eat Chinese streetfood and sip cocktails in the heart of town. In chillier weather, there's a roofed area and heaters.

To get to Spesso you take the lift from Malmskillnadsgatan up to the rooftops, where there large roof terrace has plenty of space to eat and drink as the sun goes down. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet lively, and works equally well for a few cocktails as dinner in the restaurant.
