Bistro Nobel is the Nobel Prize Museum's restaurant in the Old Town. Have lunch, have a coffee, try the Nobel ice cream or drink bubbly. The bistro can also be rented for breakfast meetings, social gatherings and dinners.
The restaurant was named Stockholmers' favourite museum restaurant in 2025, and it's easy to see why. Eat well-prepared lunches or have a coffee break under beautiful vaulted arches with a view of bustling Stortorget in the Old Town.
On weekdays, the daily lunch special is served with three option:, meat, fish and vegetarian, and in the evenings and weekends, they serve simpler dishes such as soups, prawn sandwiches and salads. In between, you can have coffee or a glass of wine or a drink - just make sure you don't miss trying the Nobel ice cream. It's an homage to the ice cream that was served as dessert at the banquet for many years, so just take a spoon and close your eyes and dream away to more glamorous days. On Fridays, the museum organises theme nights and has an after-work menu in the bistro with snacks and treats.
A fun fact is that the chairs are used as a guest book for Nobel Prize winners, so if you lift the chair and look under it, you might find your favourite!
The bistro is open when the museum is open, with the exception of private events.
